Digital Kitchen is a creative agency that focuses on film production, experiential design, motion graphics, brand identity, and interactive work for marketing and entertainment. So we're the people who will make your brand, space, spot, site, product, or show feel powerful, look great, and otherwise get sexy and influential. We're high gloss and matte finish, persuasive and complete.
That is: we can stretch from strategy and messaging to concept development and execution in just about any medium - including skywriting, which we view as underutilized and often poorly designed. We excel in the expanding media spacescape by harboring creative thinkers who are agile, inventive, and dedicated to their crafts.
From our studios in New York, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles DK has created experiential campaigns for Target and Microsoft, broadcast spots for hundreds of leading brands, interactive work for AT&T, Budweiser, and Mercedes, the Emmy Award-winning main titles for "Dexter" and "Six Feet Under", a series of manga comic books for Nike, the live show content for The 2008 Webby Awards and countless accomplishment lists like this one.
We've thrived for 12 years by seeking both clients and creators who are willing to experiment. We are proud of our work and immensely enjoy making it.
Presenters — Rama Allen & Dave Skaff
Rama works as a Creative Lead for Digital Kitchen NYC. He thinks stuff up, talks with his hands and leads development and production teams. He started out many moons ago in Seattle as a young fresh faced intern at the first DK office before Macs were pretty colors. Since then he’s designed, composed music, written, and directed for the company on a multitude of projects spanning motion graphics, live action, interactive, experiential and branding. While not at work he can occasionally be found in various cities DJing, nursing a pretty drink or perfecting his skills as a full time lover, part time hater.
Dave is currently the Executive Producer and General Manager of Digital Kitchen’s studio in New York City. There
he oversees the studio’s branding, production, and interactive work for commercial, experiential, and entertainment
clients. Prior to Digital Kitchen, Dave served as Senior Producer and Copywriter at global branding firm ATTIK.
There he worked heavily on the launch of the now well-known Scion brand. The launch of that brand was a major
success in terms of brand recognition, auto sales, and creative achievement. Of equal importance, however, was
Dave’s participation in a company that grew from a graphic design and motion graphics studio into a full-fledged
agency. Dave began his career in media at The Webby Awards. He was the second person at the then barely known
show in 1997. From its inception forward, Dave participated in the Webbys’ growth, eventual notoriety, and respect
in a myriad of ways. Dave co-founded and drafted the initial guidelines of The International Academy of Digital Arts
and Sciences – the Webbys’ judging body. He remains a founding member of The Academy and judge for The
Webbys. Dave also wrote, directed, and/or produced the live shows and film and animation content for the shows
from 1997 to 2002.
