Mathematic is a VFX production company based in Paris that is trying to create a convergence between art direction, design and vfx. We are involved from concept development to final delivery of every project.
In July 2007, Mathematic created their own production label named UFO, represented by The Ebeling Group and Les Télécréateurs (France). The often talked about Kap10kurt music video was the first UFO production. UFO completed this “geeks film” in three months. It quickly went all around the world via internet and gave us great opportunities to showcase our wide range of styles. The majority of us are 3D artists, although some of us are involved in 2D animation and stop-motion too. We like this kind of technical blending. The Asics film, by Yué, is done in the vain we like. TEG and FALLON offered us our first real AD in the USA. The NYSE production was our first challenge on this amazing market and our cup of tea.
Mathematic is a motion design studio based in Paris, France, working for international clients. Founded in 2005, with the firm intention of developing our own creative and graphic concepts, we started by providing post-production services and art direction to wellknown production houses.
Two years later we decided to take the lead, giving our creativity a chance by launching our own production label named UFO. Directing has always been a target (objective). Other young directors joined the team, the team has now reached a strong set up, composed of drawn animators and illustrators to CG designers and motion design geeks.
From this large variety of style can merge (spring) unique works. We want to create a convergence between art direction, design and vfx. We are involved from concept development to final delivery. We play in-house with our talents and partners, we blend traditional and new media to try to create a new visual alchemy.
We are children of (what we like) : Bladerunner, Tron, The Daft Punk , Gorillaz, Japanimation and japanese culture… we like contemporary art and street culture… and graphism. Some of us are photographers, painters, illustrators and graffers…
People we like in the motion design world : Lobo, Psyop, Tronic, Süperfad, xyzstudios,…

One year later, the label and collective UFO was created with the main objective to become the directors collective in the mood.
François-Xavier Pourre, or as he is better known by, FX has been working in the Motion Graphic industry since finishing his studies at Suprifocom in 2003. Based in Paris, FX is an accomplished designer and director of 3D and has worked with internationally reknowned directors such as Pleix, H5, Edouard Salier, Daniel Askill, Antoine Bardou Jacquet and Olivier Dahan. In 2006, after taking the time to get to know the industry, he decided with two other director friends, Vincent Viriot and Mathieu Gastald with whom he met earlier at Suprifocom, to create 'The Holograms.' Together the directors wanted to form a stronger unit of creativity, and after working together on many projects previously, knew they had the same things in common to be able to form a solid collective.
